One of our members, Geoff, receiving the huge honour of a

Paul Harris Fellowship

from the club President, Bob

In November 2011 two of our ladies (Gill and Sue) went to The Gambia to see what help we could give to a respite home called Hart House for children with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. We expect to have a long term relationship and more visits.

In January 2012 two of our members drove a van loaded with medical aids, collected by Disability Stockport, to Bury St Edmonds.  The load was delivered to the charity Aid To Hospitals Worldwide which is dedicated to sending free medical equipment to the developing world.

Our thanks to County Van Hire for supplying the van. Also on twitter @countyrental and Facebook

Our purpose can be summarized as ”to try and improve the world we live in whilst having fun doing it in the company of friends”. Our club, like all other Rotary clubs, exists to foster the concept of service to the community, both locally and internationally

We meet on Wednesdays (but not the fifth one in a month, nor just before and after Xmas and odd others) at the Ladybridge Park Residents Club, Edenbridge Road, Ladybridge Park, Cheadle Hulme. Cheadle, Cheshire, SK8 5PX. Tel: 0161 485 1188. Fax: 0161 283 1519. We meet at 19.30 for 20.00.

In July 2010 Rotarian Gordon Jackson went out to Tanzania to repair equipment in rural hospitals around Kilimanjaro. The visit was also a fact finding tour to assess the possibility of working with local Rotary clubs and to train technicians.
The Toolbox subsequently sent to Tanzania has now arrived.
