In November 2011 two of our ladies (Gill and Sue) went to The Gambia to see what help we could give to a respite home called Hart House for children with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. We expect to have a long term relationship and more visits. See the photos here |

In January 2012 two of our members drove a van loaded with medical aids, collected by Disability Stockport, to Bury St Edmonds. The load was delivered to the charity Aid To Hospitals Worldwide which is dedicated to sending free medical equipment to the developing world. Our thanks to County Van Hire for supplying the van. Mercian Cup Balloon Race result The Winning Balloon almost reached Warsaw in Poland and our prize was won by a lady in Cheadle Hulme

Our club, like all other Rotary clubs, exists to foster the concept of service to the community, both locally and internationally We meet on Wednesdays (but not the fifth one in a month, nor just before and after Xmas and odd others) at the Ladybridge Park Residents Club, Edenbridge Road, Ladybridge Park, Cheadle Hulme.
